SCHOOLS

Dear Gail

Painting mugs were the best! Everybody in our class agreed that it was brilliant. They turned out just how they were supposed to! We hope we can come again. Painting mugs was one of the top things we did at Eyam. Year 6 thanks you for letting us have such a nice time.  We all enjoyed it very much.

Yours sincerely

Hi Gail,

Just wanted to thank you for the work you did with the children in painting their ‘Willow Pattern’ plates. The plates are beautiful and all the children were impressed with how professionally turned out they were.  Some were even amazed that it was their own work!! We’ve got good work assembly in school tomorrow and it’s going to be tough deciding on one or two children to show the plates – they’re already volunteering and normally I have to coerce someone into standing at the front. I will make sure your number goes in the book for future use.

Many thanks once again,
Best regards,

Dear Gail,

I am writing to thank you for demonstrating how to decorate, paint and sponge my Derbyshire tile.I sponged around the shield stencil on my tile.  I think I enjoyed that part the most , because it was like being in the nursery again!  It was fun.  Then I wrote ‘Derbyshire 2006’.  I tried to think of all the things we had done in Derbyshire.  Then a lightbulb came on, in my head!  I would paint Curbar Edge.First I did the sun, then I did a blue sky.  Then I painted the grey rocky cliffs.  Next I painted grass.

Thank-you again for your hard work and for giving up your time.  I will treasure my tile,

Yours sincerely,

Dear Gail,

I am writing to thank you for the fantastic time all of my class had with you.  I would be most delighted to come again.  My Art teacher wants to know how to do the nice borders on our tiles.  I think your shop is very stimulating and colourful,

Thank you once more,
Isobelle

Dear Gail,

I am writing to thank you for giving up your time for a lovely afternoon.  My tile of the church looks lovely.  I was as happy as a bunny when it was glazed.  Mrs Fenton, my art teacher, was impressed both how they looked and how you did the frames.  When I am allowed to take it home I will put it on the wall in my bedroom so that when I look at it, it will remind me of Eyam.  I hope to come again with my family and paint something different.  Once again, thank you very much for the very special afternoon

Thank you from a happy customer

Dear Gail,

I am writing to thank you for spending all your Thursday afternoon with us.  I thought it was great fun using the other side of the paint-brush to make roses on my tile.  I loved the idea that we had to do what we loved in Eyam on it.  I think you are a great artist and I hope to see you again in the future,

Yours sincerely,
Amber

Dear Gail,

I am writing to thank you for giving up some of your time to help us make our lovely tile.  My Art Teacher Madame Ward was very impressed to see how we made our border.  At the moment I am nagging my mum to take me to a shop like yours and do some painting.  I love Eyam and when I am older I’d like to live in Eyam because it’s so small and you learn so much and also I’d like to visit the Eyam museum,

Thank-you again,
Yours sincerely,
Pippa

Dear Gail,

I am writing to thank you for giving up your afternoon to make such memorable tiles with us so that we can remember our wonderful day at Eyam.

I was impressed with the border making which you showed us and I am hoping to use that method in the other future craft projects.  I am very grateful for your saving of my tile when I accidentally dropped a splodge of grey paint on it!  I was so excited when my tile arrived!  You inspired me to paint more tiles and maybe I can visit you again!

BROWNIES

Dear Gail,

We promised you some photos from our magnificent visit in September. The pictures show my Brownie Unit displaying their mugs on the night I handed them out, one of both Units’ mugs together and one each of the mugs produced by each pack.

Everyone was delighted and the main comments were just that they had loved it. Again I thank you for all your help and patience with us all, adults and Brownies. If I continue as leader for a few more years (I've done 12 already!) we'll definitely think of Eyam again. The parents enjoyed all the comments from their daughters and could not believe how much we had packed into one day.

Dear Gail,

Thank you very much for opening up for Eyam Brownies to come to the Painted Plate last week.  They all thoroughly enjoyed themselves – of course – and have some wonderful masterpieces as a result! Thank you for your care with our plate which looks great and I’m sure Cathy will appreciate,

Yours sincerely,

OTHER GROUPS

Dear Gail,

Thank you so much for your talk and painting session at Edale W.I. Everyone seemed to really enjoy themselves and were thrilled with the items they made.  A number of our members certainly intend bringing children and grandchildren over the summer months.  I think your enthusiasm certainly rubbed off on a lot of people and they had a great time.  Thank you again,

Dear Gail,

The team at Step Enterprise would like to thank you for helping to make our away day one to remember! We took up the challange of your treasure hunt around the village in the morning (we moved fast, it was November!) so we were happy to sit down to the second half of our day to set about designing and painting our pottery.  Tall mugs were by far the most popular choice, to keep the tea and coffee flowing at work, and themes ranged from decorative to Xmas to Step Enterprise branding (the boss's favourite!).

We would wholeheartedly recommend this a great way to get to know each other in a relaxed and un-intimidating way. Thank you for all your help and advice on the day.

Best regards

The Step Enterprise Team

JULIAN'S COMMISSION

Julian painted several plates for me as gifts for family and friends, from simple to exotic and intricate designs.  I was extremely satisfied and delighted upon seeing the finished results and the recipients were thrilled with their unique and original presents.  They arrived by post – surviving the journey very well due to supreme packaging.  All in all it was a great success and I happily recommend The Painted Plate to others.
