WITHIN THE EYAM HALL CRAFT CENTRE...

The Rocking Horse Man – Peter Lawrence made his first rocking horse as a gift for his wife – and his most recent as a gift for his grand-daughter!  If you’ve never ridden a rocking horse then this is the place to do so!  Peter also supplies amazing root furniture and other hand crafted wood furniture and gifts. www.peterlaurence.co.uk

The Stables Restaurant and Buttery Café - Eric has introduced a brand new tasty lunchtime and evening menu for 2008 - although regulars will recognise a few firm favourites!  The café has an indoor and outdoor seating area and a take away service is also available.  Eric takes private party bookings for all occasions including children’s birthday teas.  www.stablesateyam.co.uk

Huneybuzzard Gift Shop – No craft centre would be complete without one!  Recently refurbished and and brim full of select giftware including furniture.  Honeybuzzards will supply all those gift needs including post cards, birthday cards and gift wrap.  The audio tour of Eyam Village is also available for hire from here. www.eyamhall.co.uk

Eyam Hall is a family run manor house that dates back 200 years.  It is open to the public from Easter – check their website for opening times as days do vary.  The hall is available for bookings for civil weddings and the recently re-vamped grounds are great for marquee receptions.  A wedding planning service is also available. www.eyamhall.co.uk

Studio Bisque - One of my favourite suppliers based in Nottingham, Phil and Diane make most of the bisque that I sell in the studio.  They have hundreds of moulds and I sell just a small selection of the items they make.  If there is something in particular that you are looking for, have a browse through their website and if they have it let me know and I will happily add it to my stock. studiobisque@fsmail.net

Woolgathering – ‘Deidre Gage from Woolgathering has moved location to take up the challenge of a new venture at ‘Created’ on Chatsworth Road in Chesterfield. Definitely worth a visit if you are in the area.  Local designer/makers showcase their work at Created and emerging designers from further a field exhibit there also.  An excellent place to purchase hand crafted designer gifts.  Prices range from £20 to £100.  www.thehandmadegallery.co.uk
